Gas Humidifier
controlled water vapor to reactant gas stream

Gas humidifier is used for the humidification of gas streams for operation, testing and evaluation.  Adequate water management represents one of the main challenges in the design and operation of electrochemical cell with polymer electrolyte membrane.
For Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC), the performance is influenced by its operating temperature, pressure, and water vapor content of the inlet gases. These factors directly affect membrane water content which impacts fuel cell performance.

For the electrochemical CO2 Reduction Reaction (CO2RR) from gas phase with cation/anion exchange membrane, relative humidity is one of the critical elements for product conversion, selectivity and process efficiency.

Ecscell MMH humidifier incorporating multi-heating zone and multi-sparger design supplies the gas humidified completely to its dew point at given temperature and pressure conditions. The dew point is the temperature at which the humidity in the gas will begin to condense. It’s an absolute measurement of the amount of water vapor in the gas.  The MMH humidifier allows predetermine and maintain degree of gas humidity.
Heating transfer line - maintains humidified reactant gas stream at a set point temperature that is at least above the dew point temperature of the gas humidifier.
